Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine group.
The adventure centers on "strange trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Extra Content
Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-based costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
