Iranian Forces State Assault on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Widespread Counterattacks.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched operations across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and ongoing attack against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone near the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any damage is unclear and the United States has yet to issue a statement.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had intercepted a number of projectiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That initial attack - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the leadership.
Regional Fallout
In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted wreckage fell on a residential area in the capital, resulting in some material damage and killing a civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
