Teacher Killed and 25 Female Students Kidnapped in Gunbattle at School in Nigeria
Armed assailants have taken the life of an instructor and kidnapped no fewer than 25 pupils in an assault against a educational institution for young women in the northwestern part of Nigeria, according to police.
The gang of attackers invaded the comprehensive secondary school for girls in the Maga locality within Kebbi State at around 4 AM local time on Monday, police confirmed.
The armed individuals "engaged police personnel on duty in a gun duel" before breaching the school's outer barrier and seizing the students from their hostel, authorities disclosed.
