Ukraine has announced the commencement of mass production for an innovative locally engineered interceptor drone to reinforce its aerial protection systems. Three initial producers have started production, with an additional eleven preparing to establish production lines, the defence ministry stated this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Tested in Combat Situations

The drones will be based on a domestically developed technology known as “Octopus” engineered to neutralize Shahed drones. The system underwent testing in combat and demonstrated effective “at night, under jamming and at low altitudes,” the ministry confirmed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set an ambitious goal of manufacturing up to 1,000 defensive drones daily.

Ukrainian President Plans Visit to Spanish Capital

The Ukrainian leader is scheduled to travel to the Spanish capital, the Spanish capital, next Tuesday to confer with lawmakers a day after his trip to France, Spanish parliamentary officials disclosed.
